National Sports Medicine Center, located at 21, 5th Cross Street, CIT Colony, Mylapore, Chennai is a comprehensive sports medicine facility for diagnosing, treating and rehabilitating athletes and active individuals with sports-related injuries and medical conditions.

The Center founded by Dr.Madhu Thottappillil, Sports Medicine Specialist ,Orthopedic surgeon and a certified Ergonomics specialist as the chief consultant includes professionals specifically trained in the field of sports medicine, including physical therapists, psychologist, athletic trainers, nurses, nutritionists, orthotist and many others.

Dr. Madhu is the Sports Medicine consultant to the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) for the South Zone. The NSMC' s mission is to help all active individuals and sportsmen and women of all ages and skill levels regain and retain the ability to play and compete at their optimum levels through education, treatment and research.

The National Sports Medicine Center has a well equipped physiotherapy clinic attached with the latest electrotherapy modalities including Laser Therapy equipment. The center will soon be equipped with a full fledged foot clinic for comprehensive podiatric management.

It is Dr. Madhu's belief that the most effective way to control injury costs is through injury prevention.
